I occasionally enjoy a glass of wine, and with Valentine’s Day approaching, I was excited with the opportunity to try the Rose Wine Glass set. The glasses looked pretty and different from a regular wine glass so I was interested to see what they would be like.

The package arrived promptly. The box was quite big but contained lots of packaging. In most circumstances I would be annoyed with over excessive packaging but on this occasion it was necessary. The box containing the glasses was securely packaged in bubble wrap, ensuring their safety during delivery. It was a shame that it was bubble wrap as this cannot be recycled. An alternative could have been used to make the packaging more environmentally friendly.

The packaging of the rose glass set exuded elegance. A black box adorned with an image of the glasses. The set contains 2 rose wine glasses. The box looks fancy so ideal if you were thinking of giving the glasses set as a gift. The glasses are protected in the box by moulded foam. This packaging will also provide a convenient storage solution when the glass are not in use.

The glasses are marketed as “crafted for elegance and sophistication.” From the description of the glass set and the price you would definitely expect the glasses to be a quality product. Upon initial inspection, they appear visually appealing, featuring a delicate rose shape with two leaves on the stem of the glass. The leaves have a green tint. The glasses are further embellished with a petal pattern etched onto their surface. They look pretty and very effective when you fill them either rose or red wine.

Each glass holds 200ml of liquid and measures approximately 8 cm by 22.5 cm. However, it is important to note that these glasses are not dishwasher safe and would have to be washed quite carefully to ensure they are not damaged.

Unfortunately, the quality of the glasses in my opinion, falls short. The glasses feel fragile and prone to breaking easily. I am concerned that a minor knock against a table or in the sink could cause the stem to break or one of the delicate leaves to snap off.

Given these limitations, I would not recommend using these glasses for everyday use. The glass set is more suitable as a novelty item for a special occasion like Valentine’s Day or as a wedding or engagement gift. Whilst the glasses may add a touch of elegance to a dinner setting, they lack the durability and quality of a regular wine glass.

Rating: 4/5 for their novelty factor but 2/5 for the quality.

RRP: £35 (currently on sale at £25, saving £10)
