Rock of Ages is an American Rock musical which features songs from various rock artists. At the same time it is a love story.
The show itself was amazing. All of the cast were brilliant and involved the audience any way they could.
The set up on stage was really good. And the backing band was excellent. A lot of the cast have been in other shows, films and TV programs before. It is a really nice story involving a girl that leaves home to follow her dreams to become an actress in Hollywood. She meets a boy in a bar and they fall in love.
Some Germans come to try and buy the strip. And a bar. But in the end fail!
There are songs from Bon Jovi, Foreigner, Poison, Journey, Extreme and other famous groups!
I would highly recommend this show and I enjoyed every minute of it.
I am very satisfied with the show and I would definitely go and see it again.
I found Oxford a very easy place to park in. There is a park and ride from out of town. I parked in the city centre where parking was only £2.50 after half 6. All the parking that I saw was at the side of the road.
The theatre had a warm welcoming feeling. All the staff were helpful, friendly and welcoming. Inside the theatre itself it was very roomy. Had plenty of leg room and space. The decor was very nice and in very good condition. The theatre itself is also very clean.
My overall rating is 5out of 5 for the show and 5out of 5 for the theatre. When the show had finished there were numerous doors which you could leave the theatre so there were no big queues to leave.
Tickets cost from £12.90 to £41.40 (plus £4 transaction fee).
