The Revamphair Progloss Airstyle is a multipurpose styling tool to give a salon finish between hairdresser visits.  I have to admit that I’m not great at hair styling so was looking forward to seeing how the Airstyle would help. Like everyone else, I have missed a hairdresser appointment during lockdown so my hair is a bit longer and could really do with some styling!  The product arrived in quality packaging which as easy to open. The box is robust and could be used to store the bits in but is a bit on the large side. It contained the styling tool, the 5 attachments and instructions.

The first impression is although fairly bulky, the Airstyle has a good weight and quality feel and finish to it. It has two speed and three heat options plus a button for a cold blast to help set styles. Additional useful features are the 3-meter long cable making it easier to use and it comes with a 2-year warranty for peace of mind.

The hand piece is a small hairdryer onto which the five attachments fit to give different finishes. The blow-drying nozzle gives a rough finish. The smooth and shape brush helps style and smooth as you dry.  The other three ends use ionic technology which is the unique science that helps the Airstyle reduce the frizz and give you the salon finish from home. It also contains the Progloss mix of keratin, argan and coconut oils for shiny hair.

The first of these options is the 19mm curling tongs. This has a lever to open and grip the hair which then allows it to be wrapped tightly round the small barrel to give tight curls.  My favourite, the 25mm curl and release tong give curls and waves. The teeth on the brush grip the hair while the heat dries and styles the hair then the teeth retract allowing the hair to slip off the tool in curls- I love this as I usually end up with my hair tangled at some point!

The final attachment is the 32mm bristle brush. This is ideal for creating volume and giving a natural bounce. I found my hair was a little short to get the full benefit of this brush.  I have very thick hair so found as a hair dryer it wasn’t powerful enough and would have taken a while to dry my hair from wet (although it would get there in the end) but it was great at styling semi-dry hair. I am not sure I quite got the salon look but it was certainly a vast improvement on my usual efforts! My hair felt great and looked shiny. I can see that it would be a useful set to take when travelling as it gives plenty of options for the space and weight it takes up in luggage.

All in, I really like the Airstyle. I love the fact that you only need one tool and the attachment make it so versatile. A useful addition would be a storage bag to keep all the bits together as the box is rather large. Having a long flex gives plenty of length as it is always awkward reaching the back bits!

The Progloss Airstyle is available directly from Revamp at http://www.revamphair.com with the RRP of £49.99 (reduced from £59.99). I initially felt that was quite expensive but when you consider it offers five different styling options the price doesn’t seem so high. They also offer free UK delivery for orders over £20.
