Peanut Butter Halloween Candy Bark
This eerie treat features a creamy vanilla candy base marbled with creamy SKIPPY® Peanut Butter and topped with Halloween favourites like candy eyeballs and gummy worms. Perfect for Halloween gatherings, this bark is easy to make and delightfully ghoulish.
INGREDIENTS
- 100g of SKIPPY® Peanut Butter Extra Smooth, warmed
- 600g white chocolate
- Suggested candy decorations: gummi worms, chocolate coated candy pieces, smarties or M&Ms, candy eyeballs, gummi teeth, assorted sprinkles
METHOD
- Line a medium baking tray with greaseproof paper
- In a large microwavable bowl, microwave white chocolate on high for 1 minute; stir. Continue microwaving and stirring in 15 second intervals until melted and smooth
- Spread evenly on prepared tray. Place SKIPPY® Peanut Butter in piping bag and pipe peanut butter in straight lines across white chocolate coating. Drag knife back and forth across lines to create a marble effect
- Decorate with a selection of small candies for decoration
- Stand for 1 hour or until completely cooled and set. Break or cut into irregular 2-3 inch bark-style pieces
Peanut Butter Spider Cookies
Get into the spooky spirit with these Peanut Butter Spider Cookies, featuring a soft peanut butter cookie base topped with a chocolate peaut butter cup, transformed into creepy-crawly spiders with melted chocolate legs and candy eyes. Perfect for Halloween parties, these cookies are as fun to make as they are to eat!
INGREDIENTS
- 125g SKIPPY® Peanut Butter Extra Smooth
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 210g flour
- 110g butter
- 100g granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 30 milk chocolate and peanut butter miniature cups unwrapped (eg Reese’s)
- 150g cooking chocolate, melted according to package directions
- Candy for eyes
METHOD
- Heat oven to 180°C. In a bowl, combine flour and baking soda
- In a large bowl, mix together SKIPPY® Peanut Butter and butter until smooth. Mix in 90g sugar, beaten egg and vanilla until blended. Stir in flour mixture until blended. Shape dough into 30 balls
- Place 10g sugar for rolling in small bowl. Roll dough balls in sugar and place 2 inches apart on greaseproof paper-lined baking tray
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are light brown. Immediately press one chocolate peanut butter cup in centre of cookie. Remove to wire rack. Allow to cool
- Spoon cooking chocolate into a piping bag. Pipe 8 lines for spider legs around the peanut butter cup; pipe 2 small dabs of chocolate on the chocolate peanut butter cup and attached 2 candies for eyeballs
- Repeat decorating steps with remaining cookies
