I was so excited when the package containing the Edifier W860NB headphones arrived and could not wait to open it! The grey cardboard box with pink headphones is in itself very attractive.  On the back of the box there is a guide to the specifications, and on the left a quick guide to the touch controls.  I am not sure what the symbles on the right hand side mean but it says Qualcomm AptX.  I am a pensioner and a self confessed  technology dimwit so some of these specifications mean nothing to me.

Inside the cardboard box is the User Manual and a hard storage case to keep the Bluetooth Noise Cancelling Headphones in.  This is black, very sturdy and has a zip.  The hard storage case is great for travelling, it contains everything needed for use with the Headphones.  Personally, I think these headphones are a beautiful colour, my favourite to be honest.  The W860NB accessories are stored in the back, mesh compartment of the hard storage case.  There is a connector to allow you to use the headphones on an aeroplane plus a USB power cable and a 3.5mm audio cable which I am not sure where or how I should use it.

First I had to charge the headphones for 4 hours, I used the USB lead into the plug I use to charge my iPhone. Once the headphones were fully charged, I carefully followed the instructions to connect them to the Bluetooth on my iPhone.  As I said previously I am not very good with technology, so sought the help of my 17 year old granddaughter via Facetime when I failed, and she quickly helped me find the Bluetooth connection.  Once the noise cancelling headphones were paired with my iPhone they were very easy to use. They are ‘touch control’,  you just need to tap them a couple of times to switch them on, tap them at the top to increase the volume, or at the bottom to decrease the volume.

My husband often works away from home, when he is away I enjoy watching all my favourite television programmes which I have missed on live television, whilst in bed.  When my husband is home I can’t do this as he doesn’t appreciate me being on my iPhone watching television and making a noise whilst he is trying to get to sleep. I have been missing out on my favourite television programmes!

Since I have had these headphones, I have been able to catch up with the programmes I enjoy on Catchup Up television without annoying my husband, which I always did in the past.  If I wake in the night and can’t get back to sleep I can easily watch more.  They are so easy to use and to turn the volume up and down you simply use your fingers on the ear piece.

To my granddaughters disgust I have not yet downloaded any music to my phone to listen to using these headphones, but plan to do so under her guidance as soon as possible, although as you can imagine our tastes differ considerably. There are also talking books I would like to explore as I could listen to these using these headphones.  Everything is really clear and easy to hear.

I would thoroughly recommend these Noise Cancelling Headphones for all ages.  If I can set them up, with a little help from granddaughter, (I just didn’t realise I had to tap on Edifier W860NB when it came up on the Bluetooth settings on my iPhone) anyone can.
