From the outside Munro’s looked fresh and modern and we were not disappointed.
I loved the decor! Individually the elements don’t sound like they should work, but trust me, it is spot on!
It was clear to see where Munro’s speciality lay, with an impressive selection of craft beers and cask ales.
We were greeted and seated by Munro’s friendly staff who were perfectly attentive throughout.
Their menu has a varied selection of pub classics as well as lighter nibbles.
To start with we shared bread and oil and delicious chilli potato boats. I am assured the Schiehallion Battered Fish was perfect, crisp batter, tender fish, tasty chip and yummy minted peas. My chilli con carne was also lovely, just the right amount of heat and the rice was cooked to perfection, I definitely need some tips from the chef!
The only disappointment for a sweet tooth was there was no dessert menu, just a daily special, so we shared chocolate fudge cake (it would have been rude not to!).
Munro’s is definitely the place for a relaxed night out, especially for beer lovers.
