The restaurant sits just off the road at the entrance to Gartnavel Hospital but despite large signs it may be easy to miss depending on which direction you come from. The restaurant does have parking onsite available to customers but may be difficult to get a space at peak periods.
The restaurant sits within a traditional looking building. It isn’t particularly easy to find as it sits above another restaurant and lacks signs. Once inside the restaurant looks very modern, light and airy. However features traditional Indian touches such as wooden carved elephants, pictures and native jewellery. This is a lovely touch. The restaurant and its toilets were clean and bright.
The atmosphere was lovely and calm with traditional Indian music playing quietly in the background. We were warmly welcomed by staff and were seated immediately, menus were given and drinks orders taken at this time and served within minutes. Staff also asked if we needed any help with the menu.
The menus had a very modern design and were in good condition. It was well laid out and easy to follow. It had a very good description of each dish.
We were given time to choose our meal and to order. Our starters of Chicken Pakora and Sesame Chicken arrived quickly, closely followed by our main courses of Chicken Chasni, Chicken Tikka Masala, Boiled Rice and Garlic and Coriander Naan Bread. We ended our meal with Pistachio Kulfa and Gulab Jamon.
Each course was sent to us quickly (however we did not feel rushed at any time). The food was very well presented and was warm and fresh. It definitely was the finest Pakora I have ever tasted and the garlic naan was not greasy in the slightest. The chicken in the main meals was cooked to perfection.
Overall we were more than happy with the food, staff, service and quality of the Indian Platform. We aren’t local to the restaurant with a 35 minute drive to get there, however we plan to return again and would highly recommend them to our friends and family.
Thanks for a great night.
