I was delighted to be offered the opportunity to review the Heddox Clinic Exfoliating Enzyme Mask to review. I absolutely love trying out cosmetic products so this is just the perfect chance to try something new to me.
Heddox Clinic is a United Kingdom based business their website says ‘our focus is centered on creating highly effective multi-function medical-grade hero products’. These products include intense moisturising creams that also contain retinoids and antioxidants, lip gloss with SPF that is exfoliating, moisturising, and volumising and the enzyme mask which they say ‘is as effective as a chemical peel, but has no abrasive ingredients so no burning or irritation to even the most sensitive skin’. The Heddox products are all vegan-friendly and are sustainably produced in the U.K.
The 50ml exfoliating enzyme mask comes in a white and chrome plastic pump dispenser. The packaging is quite clinical, fitting with the ethos of the Heddox Clinic brand. The mask is a clear runny gel like consistency. On initial dispense it has a slightly sharp almost vinegar like smell. The directions are to apply to a clean face and to leave for 30 minutes.
Always keen to abide by the rules, I did as instructed and thoroughly cleansed my face and applied the product. I used 4/5 pumps of the product which was easy to apply to my skin with my fingertips. The product felt cool and quite soothing and dried fairly quickly. I had been concerned that my skin might feel taught and uncomfortable, but I’m happy to say after a few minutes I forgot I had the mask on and was able to continue with my daily routine without any discomfort. I did notice that the initial unpleasant smell disappeared and was replaced with a subtle but very nice scent.

After the 30 minute wait time I again followed the directions and rinsed off the mask. Heddox recommend using a dermal cloth which is not something I have so I substituted a regular face cloth. The mask washed off easily and left my skin feeling very soft. I followed the application with my usual moisturiser which slid on very easily.
According to the Heddox website the mask should ‘brighten dull and uneven skin within 30 minutes. Thanks to powerful botanical enzymes and British Sea Kelp, the mask gently but effectively dissolves the proteins that bind dead cells to the skin’s surface, resurfacing the skin and visibly brightening its tone and texture.
So did the Heddox Skin Exfoliating Enzyme Mask live up to the companies claims? I can definitely say that after using it a couple of times my skin feels much softer and smoother than before and it looks brighter and fresher and my forehead seems to miraculously have less lines. To say I am amazed is an understatement. I am so pleased with these results after such a short time.
I would definitely recommend this product to anyone with a mature skin to help with the signs of ageing. If you are looking for a special gift for your mum on Mothers Day this could be the perfect product..
