With the home grooming industry on the rise particularly in men, My husband and I were excited to put to the test the Wahl Aqua Blade 10 in 1 Multigroomer. On delivery I was impressed at the size of the box, I was expecting larger given all the tools and functions it has but was pleasantly surprised with its compact size meaning it will be easy to store. Upon opening I was pleased to find an actual storage bag for all the different trimming functions and the shaver. The bag could have done with being slightly larger so the charger could also fit in to but it was handy to keep in all the attachments. The zip and material do however feel a little flimsy so I’m not sure it will survive the longevity of the actual device this is the only negative I found.
Since the Covid 19 outbreak I have been cutting my husband’s and sons hair at home not only to save money but for convenience too. They both want different styles and lengths and achieving this with Scissors and a comb was pretty difficult and time consuming. We were impressed at the large range of combs meaning that we could choose from 17 different cutting lengths in total ranging from 0.2-25mm. They also had specific blades for edging and tapering hair which was really useful in getting a neat and precision style around ears and neck. My son also doesn’t like the loud noises of trimmers being used around his ears but this device isn’t to loud so great for cutting younger children’s hair as well as adults. It was also very useful that it’s cordless as I could move around easily whilst cutting. The different heads fitted and removed easily from the blade making transitions between quick and easy which I also liked.
The Multigroomer comes with an advanced Lithium power 2.0 battery which means once charged it has an amazing 180min run time. An for those odd times you do forget to charge it has a quick charge function. 1 minute charge can provide 3 minutes continual use. Perfect amount of time for a quick shave before work. My husband was impressed at the closeness of the cut and the smoothness of it gliding over the skin, it didn’t catch at all like some other shavers do. He said his skin felt really fresh and smooth after use and he will definitely be using this to replace his manual razor in future. The fact that it is fully washable also meant it was really easy to clean post shave/haircut. You don’t have to worry about the blades rusting or sticking because the kit also comes with some blade oil to ensure your able to maintain the shaver blades.
The Aqua blade 10 in 1 Multigroomer isn’t just for hair and face but it also has adaptors for trimming other bodily hair. My husband was impressed with the nose and ear trimmer adaptation as he has never used them before. We both found the user manual really helpful in knowing how to use each blade correctly, it included tips on which blade to use for what as well as the correct positioning to hold the blade whilst trimming/cutting.
In conclusion we found it to be a well rounded multifunction device, its compact, light and easy to keep maintained. I think this would make a great present for a partner. It costs £99.99 but is currently on sale at £69.99. My only slight issue was the storage bag being a tad to small and the zip a bit flimsy on it, this however would not put me off buying the product.
Rating: We would give this product a rating of 4.5 stars out of 5.
