Harry Specters Handcrafted Chocolates: Allure Review

Reviewed by Amanda Gazzard

I would like to think I am a connoisseur of chocolate after many years of consuming most likely my weight. I was very excited with having the opportunity in reviewing these handcrafted chocolates from Harry Specters.

I have thought long and hard about the words I can use to truly reflect the delight in reviewing these wonderful exquisite chocolates.

From the moment I opened the box, the delicious aroma of a culmination of various flavours got my taste buds working overtime.

All of Harry Specters chocolates are handcrafted and were nothing like I have seen or tasted before.

The box was wrapped in a lovely ribbon and the box itself felt luxurious and I felt I was about to embark on a lyrical taste challenge.

The chocolates themselves were of various shapes and each had its own unique colourful design.

The contents card was clear, and the photos of each individual chocolate were a true reflection of the actual chocolates.

The delicious flavours included Sea Salt Caramel, Rose & Cardamom, Coffee, Pistachio, Ceylon Tea, Pineapple Spice, Dark Caramel, Maple & Pecan, Telli cherry Pepper, Peanut butter Crunch, Chili, Devilishly Dark, Salted Lime Caramel, Madagascar, Tangy Lemon, and Almond.

What makes Harry Specters a truly inspirational company is there social mission. They offer confidence and hope to young people with autism by providing employment and free training, enabling them to produce great products, such as their award-winning chocolates.

As a result, they aim to become role models in promoting a “great product and a great cause” for other businesses, individuals and entrepreneurs.

Harry Specters have been in operation since November 2012 and have a total number of 260 beneficiaries which mostly includes young people with autism.

The young people contribute in various process of the business from making the chocolates, packaging and selling chocolates, to working on the design of the products and even photography.

As a result, all of the young people have and continue to learn new skills resulting in greater confidence, hope, and ambitions for their future.

You may think the cost of purchasing these chocolates are expensive and I must admit before I tried the chocolates I felt the same, but as I have now experienced chocolate heaven I have to say the cost of these chocolates truly reflects the superb taste, quality and time that goes into making these handcrafted chocolates.

Harry Specters chocolates in my opinion not only look beautiful but taste delightful.

These would make an ideal Valentine’s gift for anyone who truly would appreciate edible art.
