How exciting to be offered the opportunity to review these two items which are manufactured by Playmonster. Fuzzikins are cute little flocked creatures which can be coloured ready to play and are suitable for children aged 3+. These toys are new to the market being first released in August 2021 and are described on their website as ‘FUZZIKINS World of imagination and play. Build and decorate your own FUZZIKINS home.’

Each item comes with the roof and base of the house open to see and cardboard and plastic packaging makes up the walls of the buildings. The Family home packaging has a window so you can see the bear figures. Inside the box you will find:

The houses are modular and ready for the little one to build into homes for the creatures. There are many configurations to try. The side panels of the buildings are made from plastic which can be coloured using the pens provided and because the pens are washable the panels can be wiped and redesigned as many times as they wish, so they can get creative. The process of putting together the homes encourages the development of hand to eye coordination and dexterity, although some adult supervision/assistance may be required for younger children. Because they contain small pieces these toys are not suitable for children under three years of age.

My five year old granddaughter absolutely loved these toys. She loves to get creative and was in her element from the minute she first saw the pink and lilac boxes.. She had great fun putting together the houses and colouring the walls and furniture. She was very excited to play with the cute creatures which are a great size for her little hands. But naming them all and making up stories with them as the main characters has been the best bit for her. She has an amazing imagination and we had lots of bath and bedtime fun to enjoy.

The items I was gifted are completely separate so can be played with as stand alone homes or by adding additional items from the family can be put together to make a bigger home. Also included in this Fuzzikins range are Bunny’s Bedroom and Koalas Kitchen. These toys form part of the Fuzzikins collection, so if your little ones like these toys there is the opportunity to add new items in the future with toys such as Ice Cream Bag Van and Duck/Unicorn Floaties.

With Christmas coming up soon and if your children like to be creative, then these toys would make an ideal gift. I would have loved to have received one of these when I was a child and would have spent countless hours creating, rinsing, recolouring and playing with the figures, in fact the child in me would still love to play with them now.
