When I was asked to review the Kitchen Devils Control Bread Knife I thought to myself what can be so different form my ordinary bread knife, it cuts bread!
As I soon found out the Kitchen Devils Control Bread Knife is a far superior knife. For a start it is extremely lightweight and comfortable to hold, it has an ergonomically shaped handle with a large finger guard and has a soft grip. So that’s as far as I could see the difference would be between my knife and this one but yet again I was wrong.
I went out and bought a freshly cooked loaf of bread so I could try the knife. First I cut a slice with my knife and then cut another using the Kitchen Devils one, the difference was very noticeable – the Kitchen Devils knife slides very easily through the bread with very little effort while with my original cheap knife sawed through rather that cut.
Overall, this is a great bread knife with a sharp 23cm blade. With a ‘No-Need-To-Sharpen’ blade as long as it used properly and a 15 year guarantee it is excellent value for money. You have to try it to notice the difference – and you will notice the difference! I think I will have to look at changing my kitchen knives to the Kitchen Devils Control range as if the rest are as good quality they will all be great.
