Epic is an animated film that the whole family will enjoy.

17 year old Mary Katherine (Amanda Seyfried), known as MK to her friends, goes to live with her eccentric, nutty professor father and their one eyed, three-legged dog, Ozzy. Professor Bomba has dedicated his life hunting the “little people” that live in the forest which caused him to lose his job, marriage and family.

After MK has enough she leaves a note and is about to leave home when Ozzy runs off leading her into the magical hidden world in the forest where the objects of her father’s work live where she shrinks to the size of the forest people.

The Leafmen, commanded by General Ronin (Colin Farrell), protect the forest against Mandrake (Christoph Waltz) and his evil Boggan warriors who are determined to kill of the forest.

Queen Tara (Beyonce Knowles) rules the forest but has to find a successor to her throne. She is attacked and before dying she gets MK to join the Leafmen and deliver the Life of the Forest to Num Galuu. Until this is done she cannot return to her normal size and return home. This is the start of a high-flying adventure and a battle against good versus evil.

Overall, Epic is a great fun-filled, action-packed humorous adventure. With superb graphics it is a joy to watch. With lots of superb characters from talking snails, evil frogs and wise old caterpillars, great battle scenes, plenty of humour and superb graphics and animations it is a film that the whole family will love.

Who will win the fight for the forest? MK and the army of Leafmen or the evil Mandrake? You will have to watch the film to find out!

A story of love, loss, humour and the battle for good against evil.
