I tried this colouring book out with my 4 year old. She absolutely loves colouring and drawing so thought this would be great for her.
The book is designed to teach youngsters about patterns; to help them learn what is a pattern and how to draw a pattern. It's interesting because us adults can notice a pattern straight away whereas young children can't, which is why I think this book is a great idea. I have never seen a similar activity book to this and the bright colours and fun drawings make it all the more appealing.
My daughter has worked her way through the book picking and choosing which pages she wanted to do and there are still lots left, so it is an activity that she can return to not something that is used and finished with on the first go. I have also noticed that she now draws patterns on pictures that she has drawn herself, so it's lovely to see that she has learnt from it as well as having fun.
I would recommend this book to other mums.
