Dr. PAWPAW was founded in 2013 and is an independent cruelty-free brand based in the UK and use biodegradable and/or recyclable packaging. Their products are also biodegradable. They created the first UK PAWPAW based balm. Pawpaw is a small deciduous tree native to the eastern United States and Canada, producing a large, yellowish-green to brown fruit. Pawpaw fruits have a sweet, custardish flavour similar to banana, mango and pineapple. The fruit has many uses from being an insect repellent to a tasty, nutritional food. But Dr. PAWPAW has used it to create what they call a ‘Miracle Balm’!
Dr. PAWPAW has a huge fanbase all over the world from celebrities including Emma Watson and Chloe Moretz to professionals in the cosmetics industry. I’ve also noticed a lot of social media influencers using Dr. PAWPAW in their videos and blogs.
It’s best-selling Dr. PAWPAW Original Balm is a must-have for any makeup bag. I discovered Dr. PAWPAW a few years ago on a Facebook page I follow and was amazed by how versatile it was, so I ordered myself a tube and I have never looked back! I use it in various ways, from keeping my eyebrows looking sleek, to protecting my hairline when colouring my hair. I even use it when painting my nails to protect my skin from the polish. Over the years other companies have released their versions of the balm but not one has come close to the Dr. PAWPAW Original Balm.
Being a massive fan of Dr. PAWPAW I was delighted to receive their brand new Christmas Gift Set to use and review. Upon receiving the gift set my eyes were immediately drawn the bright yellow triangular shaped packaging with the well known and loved Dr. PAWPAW branding. The packaging has been cleverly designed to resemble a Christmas tree and the red ribbon loop at the top makes it perfect for leaving on the tree for someone special. On the front of the festive packaging is an image if what’s included in the gift set and I must say I was pretty pleased with its contents! The rest of the packaging has useful information about the products in the set including ingredients and uses. Upon opening the gift set I found 3x 10ml tubes of Dr.PAWPAW Balm. Each tube a different colour.
The yellow tube was instantly recognisable as the Original Balm. The balm is fragrance-free which for me is a bonus as my 13-year-old daughter has an allergy list as long as her arm and fragrance is one of those allergies. She suffers dry chapped lips and skin during the colder months so I use Dr. PAWPAW Original Balm on her, knowing that I won’t be putting her at risk of an allergic reaction.
The pink tube is a gorgeous hint of pink-tinted balm which is simply stunning! The colour can be used as a pastel shade on your cheeks, eyes, and lips or you can build the colour up by applying more balm. This delightful balm is perfect for daytime and would suit all skin tones and complexions.
The red tube is one I have not seen or purchased before so I was pleased to see it in the gift set. It is a beautiful deep red-tinted balm, perfect for giving your cheeks a blushed complexion and your lips a dramatic red glossy appearance. This tube has become my new favourite lip product as it is simply stunning and looks very dramatic when applied.
The balms last absolutely ages and only require a small amount but gives great long-lasting effects. The coloured balms had good pigmentation and the colours stand out and stayed in place. The balms are not greasy when applied which for me is a great thing as I detest anything oily or greasy on my face.
Now the nights are drawing in and Autumn has landed, get yourself a Dr. PAWPAW Christmas Gift Set and treat your skin this year.
I would certainly not be disappointed to find this fantastic gift set attached to the tree this Christmas and I will be purchasing more for friends and family.
The Dr. PAWPAW Christmas Gift Set RRP is a very reasonable £9.99 and is available online at www.drpawpaw.com, Oliver Bonas and Harvey Nichols.
