Cocoa Brown Golden Goddess Oil And Contouring Brush Set Review

I really do hate this time of year with a passion. It is cold, damp and really do not like the early darker evenings. I always make sure I look after myself during the winter months as they can be very depressing.

One thing I like to do is my self tan, just as much as I do in the summer, if not more. It is a great way to maintain a healthy looking glow and what better way to enhance that tan than with a shimmer. I have used many brands in the past but never Cocoa Brown, until now.

Cocoa Brown Golden Goddess Oil 

The bottle is Devine and looks very sophisticated. I gave it a good shake and tested it on the back of my hand before applying it anywhere else, just to make sure it looked ok as well as seeing how well it applied. I was not disappointed!

It glided on smoothly with a silky feel to it, the shimmer is divine and somewhat more than most I have tried before but without it looking too over the top.

As for the aroma, this is pleasant and subtle. Personally, using this on my arms and collarbone area, meant I did not want to wear perfume.

I also tried it without a self tan and it was lovely, again another way to just brighten up the skin and put some life into. With or without a self tan, this product works well. It is also a great add-on to my make-up routine. I used it on my cheek bones but needed only a tiny amount as I just wanted to highlight the area. It worked really well and was noticed by many saying how I had a healthy glow about me.

HOW TO USE
Ensure your skin is washed and prepped ready to apply
It can be applied to the face, collar bones and my favourite is arms and legs (especially if going out and partying)
Using the Cocoa Brown Tontouring Brushes (see Below) Gently massage into chosen area
Use as part of your make-up routine to give your cheekbones some highlight and your face a healthy glow
Be sure to wash your hands after otherwise, you will have shimmery glitter all over them, or maybe just the palms and fingers if you want the back of your hands to shimmer

Health and safety
As a qualified beautician, I always say with any new product being applied to the skin, that it is recommended to do a patch test 24-48 hours before using it fully.

Cocoa Brown Contouring Brushes Set

Now, I have used self tan and body shimmers before but never have I used brushes like Cocoa Browns Contouring Brush set. These are a revelation in comparison to others I have used. The set comprises of 2 different sizes, T1 and T2.

HOW TO USE

T1
This is around flat head stippling brush. This brush is particularly good for applying self tan to face, hands and feet. For me, the application to the hands and feet were great. So much easier than using your hands.

T2
This is a rectangular flat head brush and can be used to contour your skin wit self tan and WOW, this brush is just the tool for the job.

SIZE OF PRODUCT

Each brush measures approximately 6.5 inches x 1 inches / 16.5cm x 2.5cm

The quality of both brushes are of a high standard. He handles are chunky, making them easy to hold and handle. The brushes are soft and not one hair came loose after, not even after one use like others I have experienced. To date, I have used these brushes twice a day for the last 5 days and still no loose hairs.

AFTERCARE OF BRUSHES
To prevent a build up of product clogging the brushes as with makeup brushes, I was them every night, it means they have time to dry over night. These brushes wash up lovely and again, no hairs came loose. Be sure to stand the brush upright so that the hairs face downwards as this drains any excess water. A great tip I do and that is to place some kitchen paper under the brushes to absorb any moisture.

Rating: It is an outstanding 5 out of 5. By far the best brushes I have had the pleasure of trying out and will most certainly continue to use.
