The warm up act for Chris Ramsey was his good friend Carl Hutchinson, who entertained the audience by retelling stories from his childhood, including when he used to sneak chocolate bars without the wrapper to his bedroom in his trouser waistband. One day, it slipped down onto the floor and his dad thought he had done a poo. The audience was in hysterics at this point. He did an amazing job in preparing his spectators for the main act. The enthusiastic response he received from the audience suggests that many will be returning in January to see him in his solo show. I know I will be.
I wasn’t aware of Chris Ramsey’s antics on Soccer am until I heard him relive his actions live on stage at the Lowry Theatre in Salford.
He was extremely funny in his stand up show, involving the audience wherever possible and doing an amazing job at keeping everyone in fits of laughter throughout the show. One of the funniest bits in the show were the heckles. He really did give it back and was at his funniest here. At one point he commented to a man in the front row about him using the stage as a table, to which he later responded when Ramsey put his water on the floor ‘hey you’re using my table’, Chris then pretended to kick him and knocked his water all over. This had the audience laughing so loud.
I am a regular viewer of Celebrity Juice and always enjoy it when Chris is a guest on the show, as I find Ramsey hilarious, so when I had the opportunity to see him live I was overjoyed.
Parking at The Lowry is accessible at the Lowry outlet mall car park and just a few minutes walk away. The staff at the Lowry are always helpful and go out of their way to make sure that you are comfortable.
We had an amazing time watching the show, and will definitely be returning to see Chris if returns to the Lowry next year.
