My family and I visited Brewers Fayre on Saturday 21st November in Bromsgrove; we arrived at 9.30am and parked in a very large car park with plenty of spaces with no issues! We were greeted by 2 members of staff who gave my children name stickers (one of which was Louise who was lovely, very friendly and accommodating) and shown to our table which has lots of activities for the children to do, such as word searches and a Santa’s beard to colour in. We had our pushchair with us and the staff offered to keep it out the back so it wasn’t in the way. Once settled we helped ourselves to the continental breakfast, which consisted of fresh fruit, yoghurts, mini muffins, lots of different cereals, fresh fruit juice, toast, croissants, hot drinks including Twining’s tea and Costa coffees. There really is something for everyone and all was absolutely delicious and the croissants were really tasty, my boys demolished 2 each! My baby sat nicely in the highchair eating Weetabix and yoghurt until it was out turn to see Santa!
We walked across to where Father Christmas was sat guided by his helpful elves and my daughters face was priceless (this was the 1st time she had seen Santa). He remembered my older children and ever told my son that he misses his curly hair that he recently had cut off! Santa was charming, charismatic and exuded all things magical and Christmassy! They received their present which was a lovely Beano album and there was plenty of time to take pictures of the little ones with Santa.
Back at the table we served a very generous plate filled with cooked breakfast, eggs done to your liking, bacon, grilled tomatoes, beans, mushrooms, hash browns and the most delicious sausages I have tasted! (Please let me know where they are from?!). Once the cooked breakfast was devoured the children had their faces painted by 2 very talented ladies, my eldest son sported a frosty penguin scene and my youngest son was Michelangelo from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. In the play area there were lots more colouring and word searches and other bits for the children to do, and most importantly seating for the adults who may have eaten slightly too much at breakfast!! The soft play area was spread across 2 or 3 levels with lots of balls and slides and a baby and toddler area. My Children are 1, 7 and 8 and seemed to love all aspects of the restaurant/ food/ Santa and play area, so from experience know that ‘Breakfast with Santa’ appeals to all ages.
I thoroughly enjoyed spending time with my family over a beautifully cooked breakfast, the staff were beyond helpful and courteous and the pub/restaurant and facilities were well kept, nicely decorated and very clean.
Overall we had a absolutely fantastic morning, it combined all the fun of a play area with delicious food and all the magic of Christmas. I would highly recommend ‘Breakfast with Santa’ to anyone!
