My delivery from Bona Ltd arrived safely via DPD, who sent a text message to give me a useful one-hour delivery window, and it included options for alternative arrangements should this time not be convenient.
The items were securely wrapped and marked as fragile. The two parcels included the Bona Premium Spray Mop and a refill bottle of Bona wood floor cleaner.

The box has all the information required for assembly and instructions for use, with simple diagrams.
The mop was easily assembled with four main components, a trigger handle, a pole, the main body, including casing for the refillable bottle, and a wide head base, with the microfibre cleaning cloth, which is attached securely to the base with strong Velcro strips.

To assemble slide the pole through the bottle casing, attach the trigger handle, and finally stand the mop up with the base flat on the floor, ensure each part is lined up and pushed hard until you hear a click. My bottle came prefilled but if not, undo the cap and fill.

If all are clicked into place, then once you pull the trigger the detergent should spray out an even mist of the fluid. I needed to push down a few times before I achieved this, but once correctly activated I was impressed with the width of the spray, meaning I could immediately start to clean my floor.

Once assembled it is not designed to be dismantled but this makes it sturdy and hopefully long lasting.
I ensure the floor is hoovered or swept prior to using the spray mop, as you would if using another method to mop, but it saves so much preparation time. No need to fill buckets with hot water, which in my case would also mean the need to clear the sink of any washing up, or boil kettles to get hot water. I don’t have the luxury of a utility room. So, lifting a bucket in and out of a kitchen sink is hard work, this would therefore be an ideal alternative for someone whose mobility or strength is impaired either by age or disability. The lightweight design is also a great feature, with a foam padded grip, and the extra wide mop head can cover a large area, such as the kitchen or dining room in no time.

I have also found the mop useful for smaller spillages; I can wipe something up with a cloth or kitchen towel first and then spray with the mop, to clean and keep my floor streak free. This will defiantly be put to the test in a few weeks when we are expecting the arrival of a puppy to our household. I am so happy that the fluid is water- based and PH neutral, it has no obvious overly perfumed smell as I can be triggered easily by some products that affect my breathing.

After use the microfiber cloth can be easily removed for washing in the machine at 40 degrees, I just air dry mine but you can tumble dry. If in doubt the Bona website has useful video guides for assembly and washing instructions, also the range of products and detergents they stock.
