I wear make-up every day so always looking out for a good make-up remover. I usually use a remover designed for face make-up and just hope it takes off my eye make-up too. This approach is not always successful and I am often left with black marks under my eyes where the mascara has not been removed thoroughly, but I find the removers designed for eye make-up leave the area around my eyes horribly oily so I have avoided them.
When I read that this cleanser was an oil I was dubious, but this an oil unlike any that I’ve ever tried before. First thing I noticed was the lovely smell. The blend of argon, safflower and jojoba transported me to a luxurious beauty salon. The oil was quite thick. I followed the instructions and warmed two pumps of the product in the palm of my hand. The information given said that the product could be used as a cleanser for the whole face, so I used it for my whole face. I didn’t think that two drops would be enough for whole area but it took away every trace of make-up. The other amazing thing was that it wasn’t at all oily or greasy. I know this may be hard to believe but when the oil is applied to your skin it glides over very smoothly but at the same time feels quite dry, so none of the oiliness I so dislike. Cleansing the skin is a routine thing I do twice a day but when using this product to do it I felt I’d had a special treatment. My skin was make-up free, soft and nourished and the wonderful smell stayed with me for a long time after giving me a lovely sense of well-being.
Handmade in Britain by Angela herself, the ingredients are 100% natural and organic. It’s not a very large bottle but when you only have to use two pumps each time I think it will last a long time. I loved the product so much I wanted to see what other items were available. While looking through the company website I found there was a wide range of products available for face and body as well as bespoke gift baskets and gift vouchers. There is also a three product sample box available for only the cost of postage. What a fantastic way to try the products. I was also surprised to see that in addition being an expert in skincare Angela is also an excellent cook and has appeared on Masterchef. She often uses the same ingredients in her cooking as in her skincare, “feeding the skin from the inside and the outside”.
My beautifully wrapped product also included a recipe card for a delicious sounding hot chocolate drink. This product would make a lovely gift for anyone who likes to take care of their skin. A real treat.
