This newly opened restaurant offers the whole ‘Italian’ experience, the welcoming and knowledgeable staff paired with high quality ingredients and a great Roman inspired menu leaves you feeling transported to Italy.

The décor is opulent, with stunning chandeliers and soft lighting; you instantly feel relaxed. Whether you are dining with friends, as a couple, or as a group, the ambience works for all.

From the moment we stepped through the door to the restaurant, we felt looked after. One of the restaurant managers greeted us. She welcomed us with a lovely smile and was very hospitable. We were shown to our table and were then asked what we’d like to drink.

Choosing what to eat was a difficult task as you are really spoilt for choice. We did not have to wait long before ordering and receiving each of our courses. We decided on the following and were not disappointed.

Starters

CARPACCIO DI MANZO CON PARMIGIANO REGGIANO E TARTUFO
Beef Carpaccio with Parmigiano Reggiano and Truffle

The beef was beautifully delicate and elevated with the peppery rocket, parmigiana Reggiano and luxurious truffle. To take it to another level we added some balsamic and truffle vinegar.

TAGLIERE DI SALUMI E FORMAGGI
Selection of cured meats and cheeses

A mouth-watering selection of meats and cheeses paired with a honey and walnut dip.
The quality and choice of meats and cheeses really shone through in this dish.

Truffle Pecorino
The Latti Fromaggio

Along with above we shared a focaccia.

MAINS
Scaloppine Al Limone which comes with red cabbage
(Veal Escalope’s In Lemon Sauce)
The veal escalope’s were cooked to perfection. They were tender, flavoursome and melted in your mouth, accompanied by a fresh and zesty lemon sauce that enhanced the whole dish.

Saltimbocca Adrodolce al Marsala, served with red cabbage
(Veal Escalope’s with Parma ham and sage, cooked in Marsala wine)
Again cooked to perfection. The sage, Parma ham and Marsala wine added a depth of flavour with sweet and savoury notes.

SIDE DISHES
Verdure Grigliata
(Grilled Vegetables)
This was a colourful and well presented side dish consisting of peppers, aubergine, courgette and tomatoes, with a light olive oil dressing.

Insalata Mista
(Mixed Salad)
This was a simple and refreshing salad with rocket, spinach, cherry tomatoes and fennel, again, with a light olive oil dressing.

Broccoli Romano
(Roman Broccoli)
A refreshing change to the regular broccoli as we know it. With is subtle nutty taste, it was the perfect side dish to the main courses.

There is a great wine selection and we paired our food with a classic Chianti – Peppoli and a white Pecorino.

DESERTS

We chose Tiramisù and the Panna Cotta Con Fragole o Cioccolato. Both of these choices surpassed expectations but the tiramisu was the show stopper! Luxuriously decadent, you will not be disappointed!

Our dining experience was finished off with an amazing Espresso Martini (Roman Style) the traditional Khalua was replaced with Frangelico Liqueur.

GOOD TO KNOW
The restaurant offers a takeaway service through Deliveroo.

We cannot praise Agrodolce and the team high enough. Their attention to detail, speedy service and their knowledge were second to none. We were made to feel so welcomed and part of the ‘Agrodolce’ family, it really made the whole experience one to remember.

LOCATION / ACCESSIBILITY
Agrodolce is easy to find. By train, the restaurant is situated close to Goodge Street underground station and on foot Covent Garden is only 20 minutes away.

Agrodolce London offers authentic Italian cuisine without having to travel to Rome. The flavours and exceptional quality of food gets your taste buds having a party and leaving you wanting more.
