European Delights Beer Gift Set From Wanderlust Drinks Company Review

I was very pleased to be asked to review this drinks package, as its arrival coincided perfectly with an important football match, during this year’s World Cup. I believe there is still time to order before the final, Wanderlust say the delivery time is between 2 -3 days however they urge you to be aware of the upcoming postal strikes, which as we all understand are beyond their control. This is also the case for Christmas delivery, the last order for delivery prior to Christmas is 20th December 2022. If it were to arrive later than this, then at least you can replenish your supplies for the New Year.

The package arrived in a sturdy box, and the courier waited for me to answer the door and I guess as I am clearly over 18, he did not ask to see any I.D, but the terms and conditions are very clear about confirming both the purchaser and recipient are over 18, as this is a legal requirement.

The European Delights Beer gift set is a set of 12, it contains four of each of the three different drinks; Sagres, comes in a 500ml can, Ichnusa is in a 330ml bottle and the Sagres 0.0% is a 330ml can.

I think the variety of having three different options is ideal for guests who have varying preferences, I am happy to drink out of a bottle, but I prefer a can to be poured into a glass, this also enables you to add a splash of lemonade or more if you prefer a shandy. The zero % option is perfect if you are driving or wanted to feel like you are having a drink but not wanting the effects of alcohol particularly at this time of the year when you maybe socialising more than you normally would be. I have to say the Sagres 0.0% tasted great, a little peppery but I didn’t enjoy it any less than the alcoholic version. I found all three drink very nice, not too overpowering and just what I wanted from a refreshing drink.

If you prefer just the cans or the bottles, then these can both be ordered in a box of 24 (currently £35) or alternatively you can do a pick and mix selection, for the box’s there is no minimum order however for the pick and mix you need to choose a minimum of 12. Individually the prices are currently Sagras 500ml is £2.20, the Ichnusa is £1.90 and the Sagres 0.0% cost just £1.40. I think the convenience of having such a heavy item delivered to your door out ways the cost of the added delivery charge.

The Wanderlust Company offer other bundles and lagers via their website and a variety of sprits from around the world, such as orange, pear or cranberry vodka, which I am very tempted to try out.
