A big advantage to this item is that it fits through the letterbox, so would make a great gift to send to someone who may not be in when it reaches them. This means that they would receive it upon getting home rather than being carded and having to rearrange delivery or have to go to a depot to collect it.
This is designed to be a high end item. Upon checking out their website, they supply to companies including Harvey Nichols, Selfridges & Co. and Hamleys. They also hold experiences at their cafes in Notting Hill and Belgravia. Their website has other biscuit choices, including the ability to personalise the item, macarons and hampers.

This item came beautifully packaged. The outer box pulled away to another cardboard layer, which was protecting the actual box for the item. The box the item was in had a drawing of an old style shop with a striped canopy over the door. There is a sticker on the back of the box that lists all the ingredients. It also states that the product was baked in the UK, which is a big plus as it means it has not had air miles wasted on it shipping it from anywhere abroad, meaning it is also more environmentally friendly than many other products.

Upon opening the box, there was a personalised card and a card about the company, highlighting how they are working to replace their carbon footprint by using recyclable packaging and locally sourced ingredients wherever possible. There is then a layer of pink tissue paper, sealed with a sticker with a rolling pin on that has ‘biscuiteers’ on it. It’s only upon opening this, that you then lift a piece of padded black paper to reveal the biscuit, which is iced to the black padded layer below it, to ensure it reaches the recipient undamaged. I have had biscuit deliveries before and not had much success in them reaching me in one piece, so was very impressed that this reached me in perfect condition.

The biscuit itself was a rocket shaped ginger biscuit with icing on showing a grey and red rocket with Santa on/in it. The size of it is approximately 12x9x2 centimetres and it weighs about 15 grams. The icing was very well done as every item is hand iced, which showed. I loved the design, which was bright and very cute. Their website states, ‘With so many stops to make, it’s only fitting Santa has upgraded to a rocket this year.’ My children also loved the design.
The biscuits come with at least a 3 month shelf life. This one was best before 1st April 2023, so had over a three and a half month shelf life. Unfortunately, I think this is one of their downfalls as it means that the biscuit tastes like a long life biscuit rather than being really fresh and full of flavour.

However, my second issue is then with the price. This can only really end up being a high end gift due to the price of £10.95 for one biscuit. As mentioned, it came in lovely packaging. It also arrived by next day delivery, which is a premium cost. In addition, there is a personalised card inside. However, at the end of the day it was just one biscuit! As a company based in London, I can see how this would be an acceptable London price. I’m in Yorkshire though and, due to the cost, this isn’t really an item I’d buy. I can certainly see the appeal for those that shop in the type of shops that they provide stock to though! It’s a lovely gift for those who don’t mind the cost and I’m sure that most children would love receiving this through the post as a gift.
Rating: I rate it 3/5 (based on price and taste, for those in a position to spend this on a biscuit!)
If I had been rating the presentation and the icing alone then it would be a perfect 5/5.
