Rummikub Mini Pouch Review

I always love reviewing games. Not only are they fun and interactive but they can also be amazing for a child’s cognitive development. They are also great for getting family and friends together and have a laugh.

Some of you may know the card game version but this is a whole new level.

The idea of Rummikub Mini Pouch is brilliant. Imagine the size of a pencil case and that is the size of the pouch. It is great as it keeps everything together in one place and that includes the letter stands the game comes with.

I love the fact that it small, compact and all stores in one place, it saves on unnecessary storage boxes and also means it is so compact, that you can use it to take away with you when travelling.

HOW TO PLAY
I have listed the points below in order to help you get started but I also suggest that you click on the link mentioned in point 3 below to give you the heads up, as it could take some of you a while to get to grips with the concept of the game.

Place all the Rummikubs face down in the middle of a table in front of the players
Each player takes 14 tiles to start with (ideally 2-4 players)

As I mentioned in my opening paragraph, I love a game that is great for interaction and cognitive development and just as importantly from an educational perspective too. This game allows all these and more, especially with numeracy skills

Whether you play with children or adults, this game most certainly gets you thinking.

The tiles are of a cream colour and the numbers are bright and bold that shout out which are red, orange, blue and black. Again great for cognitive development. When not playing the game itself, I would interact with the children, asking them ‘show me the orange number 1’ or ‘which colour is blue’.
