I always love reviewing games. Not only are they fun and interactive but they can also be amazing for a child’s cognitive development. They are also great for getting family and friends together and have a laugh.

Some of you may know the card game version but this is a whole new level.

The concept of the Scrabble Cards is brilliant. Imagine the size of a standard pack of cards, well, that is it. A pack of cards with letters on each card and the value of that letter, just like the tiles on the board game. Plus, in addition to the classic way of playing scrabble, there are two additional ways of playing the Scrabble Cards, Forfeit and Rummy.

OBJECT OF EACH GAME

CLASSIC PLAY
Make words the best way you can with the highest scoring word using the double and triple word cards.

FORFEIT CARD GAME
Oooooh, now this is a fun and new concept. There are what is know as Action Cards, use these to increase your score or, take points away from your player. Watch the competitiveness increase when playing this way, it is so much fun!

RUMMY CARD GAME
Be quick otherwise you could miss out on points. This game is a race to match a different target to which there are ten rounds.

I love the fact that it small, compact and all stores in one place, it saves on unnecessary storage boxes and also means it is so compact, that you can use it to take away with you when travelling.

As I mentioned in my opening paragraph, I love a game that is great for interaction and cognitive development and just as importantly from an educational perspective too. This game allows all these and more, especially with numeracy skills

Whether you play with children or adults, this game most certainly gets you thinking.

Suitable from 10 years upwards – This is on the website, however, my granddaughter who is 8, played it very well.
