When it comes to the Tomy toy range, I am never disappointed and absolutely love the Toomie range, so when I was asked to review this, I could not wait. Having reviewed the Hide and Squeak and Toomies Tomy Spin & Hatch Dino Eggs, I knew I would not be disappointed with the this toy either.
As before with other Tomy Toomies toys, I gave this to my 26 month old great nephew and he loved it, especially when he found out that when you press each of the baby chicks down, he heard them chirp. As with many of the Tomy toys, there is so much for any and toddler to interact with and sensory perspective that they will have lots to learn and discover from playing with this toy.
He also found it very funny when you put an egg and baby chick in the front of the bus, the egg and chick would spin round.
The colours are bright, vibrant and bold which is great for sensory play and as baby gets older, it will be a great way for them to learn their colours.
The different coloured eggs and dinosaurs can be matched or easily swapped around to mix up the colours.
The colour of the eggs are as follows:-
Blue
Pink
Green
Purple
Teal
Orange
The colour of the baby chicks are as follows:-
Purple
Green
White
Pink
Yellow
Orange
Each brightly coloured egg also has an adorably cute facial expression, pull these faces with baby and toddler and watch them laugh. As baby and toddler grow, keep doing the facial expressions and watch them copy you, even Mum and Dad joined in, not sure who had the most laughs, the adults or my grandson lol.
Each of the brightly coloured eggs are interchangeable so you can mix and match, again, great for sensory work which help baby and toddler to learn whilst playing, interacting and having fun. It really doesn’t matter how you put them together, the combinations are fun, interactive and most certainly will help to teach baby and toddler as they gradually grow.
Another bonus to these and as we sometime do with the Hide and Squeak range & Hatch Dino Eggs, we used the bases of the bus to put boiled eggs in them, I then put them in to the incubator. We would move the bus to each person at the table, making bus noises along the way. Once the bus stopped, each person would take an egg. It really does make it for more fun when it comes to eating and learning at the same time.
As with any toy that comes with loose parts, you will need to make sure you supervise the child at all times.
Overall, I am really impressed with this toy but I always am when it comes to Tomy and their Toomies range are brilliant. The quality and workmanship of it is great and the concept is absolutely brilliant. Without a shadow of a doubt, I would most certainly recommend anyone thinking of buying it to do just that. Not just from a toy perspective but the interaction, the learning and bonding too. Such a fab toy.
