PopSockets Phone Grips Review

Reviewed by Sian Manning
These popgrips aren’t something I would usually choose to purchase and something I hadn’t really heard of before, however I think they are great and there is definitely a need for them for a variety of reasons. They are really handy for holding if you are using your phone for long period of time as it saves you from getting cramp in your hand or fingers. They are great for when you are taking a picture as it saves your from dropping your phone. They are also perfect for lying in bed watching a film or catching up on TV as they allow your device to stand up really well.
The popgrips that I have been sent are a variety of girly prints; Unicorn Dreams (RRP: £11.99), some hanging sloths – Sloths-A-Lot (RRP: £11.99), a glittery design – Blush (RRP: £11.99) and one that says GRL PWR (RRP: £11.99). These popgrips come in so many designs there is definitely something for everyone, from the small to the old, male, female, girly or not. There really is the hugest variety that will cater to everyone. They are packaged in a small white pouch with some information on what it is and the front of the popgrip sticking out the front so you know exactly what you are getting. On the back of the pack are the images for how to use and how to change the tops. Inside the package is the popgrip on a card with images and text on how to install, how to swap the tops, how to remove the grips and also how to clean it.

These popgrips are the ones that have an interchangeable top, so once you have the base stuck onto your device in your desired place you don’t have to take the whole thing off to change it, you just push the top down and turn it 90 degrees and it comes off ready to replace. So you could coordinate your grip to your outfit or your mood.
When you purchase the grips you also get a number of options, you can choose the colour of the base and accordion parts separately so you have something unique and completely to yours or your recipients taste.
They do range in price but once you have the base, you can just buy the tops, making it cheaper to change your look when you fancy it. There are also a range of accessories that you can purchase to go with your popgrips, you can get phone cases, car mounts, cases to hold your popgrips, different colour bases and even coffee cup popthirst sleeves, have a look there are lots of things you can add to your collection!

Another lovely feature of these popgrips are that if you do have more than one and you want to change the whole thing they are fairly straightforward to remove and store. The glue part can be cleaned and used again which is amazing for something so sticky!
They are also rather addictive and definitely give you something to do with restless fingers, popping it in and out and spinning it round.
Thankfully they are also rather robust, my children have been playing with the one on the back of my phone for the last few days and thankfully it has stood up really well to their constant popping, there are no signs of wear at all and also no discolouration. If I ask them to hold onto my phone for a minute it also gives them something to hold onto without worries they might drop it.
These are a great gift, perfect for birthdays, or even Easter, if you don’t want to buy a chocolate gift or the recipient isn’t a fan of getting an Easter egg these are a lovely alternative. Male or female there will be something for everyone and a really reasonable price too.
