Despite the title of the film hinting at a horror it is actually a thriller.

A young woman, Rachel (Laura Fraser – A Knights Tale, Virtual Sexuality), returns to her hometown on the Shetland Isles after being tricked into returning when told her father is dying. She left the island years before to find her mother.

A love triangle soon forms between her ex-boyfriend and an island-hopping city boy with her not being very interested.

Every time she tries to leave the island things happen to keep her there and clues start to appear about her mother. Nothing is as what it seems.

It is slow going and hard to follow at times (especially the strange man called Eagle who is always lurking around corners and spying but who is never explained).

The acting is good, and it has lots of twists and turns to keep you watching. I would rate this 6/10.
