Orchard Toys La Liste des Courses Review

As a fluent French and German speaker, I like anything which encourages children to learn a foreign language. I therefore jumped at the opportunity to review La Liste des Courses, a French shopping list game, from Orchard Toys. The box itself is lovely and vibrant, with all the information printed in French.

The game cards are actually printed in both English and French, allowing the game to be played in either language. This is great as I think my younger twins would enjoy the game as much as my 10 year old daughter.

The idea is to find all the items in your trolley and say them as you put them on the game board, a race to see who can fill their shopping trolley the fastest. My daughter and I got very competitive and ended up in fits of giggles. This game is fantastic for observation skills and has other educational benefits too.

I will be bringing the game out on a regular basis to further develop my daughter’s French vocabulary and her confidence.

Of course she won!
