Tesco Free From Range Review

Reviewed by Bethany Jones

As a sufferer of IBS I can’t just go shopping and grab anything, I have to check every label to check if they contain wheat and gluten, my main triggers. The Tesco Free From range has been my saviour!

The triple chocolate chip cookies and melt in the middle pudding especially, as I have a sweet tooth and at least I don’t feel left out when friends and family are tucking into chocolates and wheat riddled snacks.

The cookies are so yummy, you can’t tell the difference. Even my partner has said how nice they are, even better than the normal cookies you can buy. The packaging makes them look really expensive and you’d expect them to taste divine, which is exactly the result you get!

Bread is another annoyance of mine, I love a slice or two of toast throughout the day. I daren’t have regular bread and other gluten/wheat free loaves taste a bit like cardboard. The seeded loaf tastes just like your regular bread, just no bloating or pain afterwards, yippee!!

Having children, sometimes you need speed over quality, but most ready meals contain gluten, and having to check the labels defeats the object of speed. The Free From frozen crispbakes offer both speed and quality. The pulled ham hock and cheddar cheese is by far my favourite. When scanning the frozen isle quickly the packaging makes them easy to spot. I just keep my eye out for the purple free from logo.

Now for pudding, the melt in the middle puddings. Just wow. I used to go for the expensive Guu range but these are so much nicer. Quickly pop in the microwave, and these puddings are divine. The chocolate is so rich and the actual pudding is so light. Some can be quite dense and heavy. The pack of two doesn’t last me more than 10 minutes, they are ridiculously moreish.

Overall the Free From range makes my life so much easier. I just go to the relevant isle and I have so much choice. More and more products are appearing on the shelves, making sure my tastebuds don’t get bored.

The Tesco Free From range has foods free of Gluten and Wheat, Milk, Egg and Dairy.
