A stunning celebration of the music and life of one of the greatest singers of all time. This award-winning production features a sensational line-up of musicians and artistes, and together with a powerhouse and breath-taking performance in the spirit of the true Queen of the Night, Whitney Houston, they deliver a show that exceeds expectation on every single level.

From the very second the music starts, you are whisked away on a magical rollercoaster ride through three decades of classic hit’s that include, I Wanna Dance With Somebody, One Moment In Time, I’m Every Woman, My Love is Your Love, So Emotional Baby, Run to You, Saving All My Love, I will Always Love You, and many more, this show stunningly remembers the most highly awarded female artiste in the world ever!

Whitney’s one true legacy was her music which touched most of us at one time or another throughout our lives. Having never seen Whitney Houston perform live myself, Shanice Smith blew me away with her incredible talent. She accurately captures the essence of Whitney with phenomenal vocals, not to mention style and grace, I truly feel the audience and I had been treated to the real thing! Together with the backing singers and marvellous band, come and share her life at the Buxton Opera House.

Special mention to the manager Tom and his staff, who were incredibly helpful when an over exuberant group of ladies, who could not contain their excitement (or their vocals) were causing some disruption with viewing the show. The situation was dealt with quickly and professionally, so the audience could still enjoy the magical evening.

Buxton Opera House is today one of Britain’s leading receiving theatres, presenting around 450 performances each year – including dance, comedy, children’s shows, drama, musical concerts, pantomime, and opera – all alongside a lively Fringe Theatre and Community and Education Programme.
