The Wahl Stainless Steel Stubble and Beard Trimmer comes packed in a sturdy cardboard box, that suitably accommodates the equipment within.
Wahl is a popular brand, which it claims is used also by professionals. As a household with three boys plus dad, it’s a brand that is well know to us, certainly a brand we would associate with reliability and good value for money, in our opinion.
This particular product comes with a 5 year warranty, which does give some confidence in the retailer, they wouldn’t offer this if the product was going to constantly break down. The brand is Hungarian and the product is produced in Europe. It also features advanced lithium power which allows up to 360 minutes run time, for just one hours charge. It also boasts virtually zero battery loss during storage.
The trimmer itself comes with a sizeable travel bag and a very good selection of heads which offer a range of cutting lengths, this was especially of interest, as my husband allows his beard at times to get very long, much to my disgust I may add, then seems to have a phase of keeping it very short. He was very chuffed with the range of lengths, and although has other Wahl products, he had not had this amount of variety before. The attachments range from 0.2mm to 25mm, which is a great range of sizes, there are 20 in total. There is also a moustache brush.
As someone that travels a huge amount with his job, the travel safety feature was super impressive, he has arrived in a foreign country before and his trimmer accidentally switched itself on in transit, and is then flat on arrival. Being able to put it in a travel mode prior to travelling is a very appealing feature and one he is enjoying using, yes I know he is a geek!
Another huge plus is the 360 run time, this is a huge six hours, and for people on the go with work or holidays it’s good to know you might not need your charging cable etc for every trip. I don’t have a beard, but even I was taken with the weight and style of this product. It feels like and looks like a quality product.
His favourite part however is the stand, it not only is a great way to store the trimmer either in the bathroom or your bedroom, it’s chargeable whilst on the stand. The two pin charger is shaped to produce a stable connection, compared to previous models which is a single connection.
As with most products of this type it comes with blade oil and a cleaning brush. The product also boasts of being waterproof, however we have not tested this claim as yet. So far so good, the trimmer has proved to give great results and overall it is the best of any that he has tried. Would definitely recommend.
