Now That's What I Call Christmas 2013

I have wanted to buy a Christmas album for years but have never actually got round to purchasing one. So I was quite excited when the Now That's What I Call Christmas 2013 CD dropped through my letter box. You get 63 Christmas songs split onto 3 CD's and they are full of hours of your festive favourites.
The first disc contains the more "pop" songs. You have classics like Wham's "Last Christmas", Slade's "Merry Christmas Everybody" and my personal favourite Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas Is You". The second disc contains more "classic" songs. Everything from Bing Crosby's "White Christmas" and Dean Martin's "Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow" to Brenda Lee's "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" and The Ronettes' "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town". Disc three is a mix of different songs that you associate with Christmas. Songs like East 17's "Stay Another Day" to Aled Jones' "Walking In The Air" as well as Christmas classics like "Silent Night" and "O Holy Night" sung by contemporary artists. Whatever type of music you enjoy or whatever mood you are in, you'll find something you like on this CD.
What I really liked about this CD is that the songs were often the original versions sang by the original artists. I have found with a lot of other Christmas CD's that I have looked at, songs are covered by bands and groups that are popular at the time. I personally like the original versions so this was a huge bonus for me. You can buy the CD for £12.99 (RRP) and can download the MP3 even cheaper so it is great value to get all these classic Christmas songs that you can play year after year.
Overall this CD has been a huge hit in this household. My children have asked to listen to it every morning whilst they have been getting ready for school. I will play this CD year after year and it will definitely be being played on Christmas Day as we open presents and enjoy our turkey dinner. I would recommend this CD to all my friends. It gets top marks from me.
