As someone who appreciates natural products and high-quality ingredients, I was very intrigued when I first discovered Odylique’s organic lipstick range.

What stands out about this company is that they are based in the UK and the product is also made in the UK.
As the saying goes, “all good things come in small packages”, and this is certainly the case with this lipstick. It’s compact, so it works exceptionally well in a handbag, evening bag or even in your pocket.
As the company prides itself on its commitment to organic ingredients and gentle formulations, I set the goalposts really high and it didn’t disappoint.
As I opened the case and saw the lipstick, it gave me a sense of purity, nature and simplicity. The packaging and casing are simple and easy on the eye whilst still conveying luxury, elegance and sophistication. The lid fits safely and securely, which gave me confidence that the lid would not come off and damage the lipstick in any way.
The company’s website describes the colour Fig Fondant as a warm burnished pink, like the juicy flesh of a ripe fig, this colour is gorgeous with gloss for day or on its own for a richer, night-time glow and I have to agree. The colour is beautiful and the finish is not overly glossy. It’s a lovely colour for wearing during the day and even out in the evening if you’re looking for a colour and finish that’s not too bold and loud. It’s subtle, elegant and very flattering.
It has a lovely creamy texture and with its phenomenal blend of oils and butters, including the Fairtrade shea butter, my lips felt nourished and hydrated all day. Never before has a lipstick felt so luxurious.
The longevity is very good. I didn’t need to reapply it for a good 3-4 hours and was pleasantly surprised after eating and drinking how well the lipstick remained in place, no sticky residue on my cup or glass. The colour gradually fades away which I really like, unlike other lipsticks that get patchy or sticky.
