I was sent this product to review, it arrived safely in a small package, via the post. Its box packaging was gold and white in colour with writing on all four sides. Inside was a 40ml tube of cream, in the same block colours of gold and white.
The information written on the product is in a very small font and there is a lot of information included, but if I am honest, I do not think I would be enticed to read it when out shopping. The design of the product, in a squeezy tube, would make me think it is a medical cream to alleviate an ailment, therefore I am unlikely to choose this as a moisturiser or day cream, as there are many other known brands available in a competitive market.
It is priced competitively and currently available to buy in Boots at only £10.39, which I do think is good value for money.
Having used the cream for a few days now, I would recommend it as a moisturising day cream. It feels quite rich as it is squeezed out of the tube, and I was worried it would feel like a thick layer, and drag my skin on application, but no it goes on smoothly, initially there is a small amount of sticky residue, but this is quickly absorbed, leaving your skin feeling very soft and hydrated. My fingertips are also silky smooth, and my face is primed nicely to be able to apply make-up or leave without. My face is not taught or dry and continues to feel this way throughout the day. Which does support the claims that it moisturises for 24 hours and improves skin elasticity.
This brings me back to the information provided on the packaging, which for me was much easier to read on Tolpa’s website, www.topla.co.uk . It tells me that Topla peat is the one of the ingredients along with nourishing oils, avocado, jojoba, and regenerating ingredients squalane, shea butter, honey extract, also those with moisturizing qualities, panthenol, allantoin, sodium hyaluronate and glycerine. They go on to say that the product helps restore the protective barrier and heals epidermal damage.
The claims that it prevents premature aging and delays the formation of wrinkles, is a little too soon for me to comment on, but I agree with the premise of their tagline ‘the first rule of cosmetics -dry skin ages faster.’
So yes, the more you can keep your skin moisturized and hydrated the better. In my opinion, this is a nice nourishing cream that is gentle on your skin.
Having sampled the Lipidro cream, I am going to purchase others in this line, which include the night oil and eye cream. I would also like to try some of the other products from the dermo face rosacal, as I have a red complexion and this my help with evening out skin tone. All are currently available to purchase at Boots, but if you follow the link on Topla’s site it will take you there to buy online.
