Robert Mardle grew up in London and married up into a middle-class family of business owners. He is retired and lives in Oxford with his wife. Having tried his hand at retirement, has now written a second book about the crazy exploits of a certain Woody Legg, his wife Peggy and lately Stumpy.

Robert explains: “With 10 grandchildren I made up barking mad bed-time stories that made us all laugh. As a parent my children got lost in books. They read and learned so much from reading. In these times I wanted to have fun writing something that would just make everyone laugh and to encourage people to read more.”
