I wasn’t really sure what to expect with this show. Given the title, I expected over two hours of some Zombie apocalypse, however, it was so much more! Definitely, heaven for all Michael Jackson fans, walking the audience through his chronological musical brilliance.
The 20 plus cast were all thoroughly amazing, with several members adopting lead vocals, all of whom were absolutely amazing. On occasions, I actually closed my eyes so I could feel the music. The singing was truly impeccable, covering all of Michael Jackson’s greatest hits.
The dancing blew us away too! Damn, the dancers can move! I felt exhausted just watching them, although I didn’t keep still in my seat all night, it was practically impossible! Audience participation was encouraged throughout, and the whole theatre were up on their feet throughout.
Costume changes were amazing and there was a real sense, on occasions, that Michael was there, in his prime!
I can’t fault the musicians either, absolutely outstanding, with a few guitar solos throwing in for good measure.
Obviously, they saved the greatest hits until last, including Bad, Thriller, Smooth Criminal and my personal favourite… Man in the Mirror.
There was the odd occasion when I thought the interaction with the audience was slightly corny, having said that, one of the most enjoyable shows I’ve seen in a while.
I left the show feeling totally uplifted and couldn’t recommend it enough… a talented crew and a must see!! Particularly, if you share the love for one of music’s greats legends.
Not to be missed… a thrill for start to finish. A 5 star performance without a doubt!
