The restaurant is located off a roundabout close to the Croxley Green Business Park.  You have to park in a pay and display car park which is £2 for the first two hours and this is refunded off your bill when you show the removable part of the ticket.  The whole of our meal took exactly 2 hours so it was a bit tight and apparently the car park is checked on a regular basis!

Welcome/First impressions
The restaurant had a lovely feel to it which was felt as soon as you walked in!  We were shown to a table immediately.

Menus
The menu had a great choice and a good selection of vegetarian options.  There were a couple of specials available too, one of which one of our party chose.  The night we went, they had a Mexican Buffet available which was very reasonably priced and two of our party chose this option.  It was a shame that no one told us about the salad bar available until I noticed it at the end!  Portion sizes were excellent for the adult meals and the food was served hot, which is always a bonus!!

There was a good selection of desserts available too (although only one ordered as we were so full!).

With regards to the children’s menu, this was very reasonably priced and again, there was a good choice available.  Our son had the fish and chips and this was an extremely generous portion which he really enjoyed.  Our older daughter (9) ordered tomato pasta and this was not such a good portion size and she was still hungry after finishing it!  Again, their food was served nice and hot and within a good timescale.  The only thing I would have to say about the children’s menu is that their desserts were very chocolate oriented and there were no fruit options available.

We liked the refillable drinks and coffees!  This was a nice idea, particularly with the coffee machine.

Service/Ambience
The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere.  It was nicely decorated with comfortable furniture.  In terms of the service, the managers who were on hand were very friendly and attentive.  We didn’t have to wait too long for our food to be served and when it came, it was hot, very nicely presented and freshly-cooked.

To order, this had to be done at the bar and unfortunately, I would say this was the only area that let them down.  They didn’t seem to be overly busy but two bar staff didn’t seem sufficient to take bar orders and drinks at the same time and we did have to wait a short while.  This may be down to the fact that they seemed to have a new Team Leader serving.  Saying that, it wasn’t a major issue and they were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them.

Summary
This was our first visit to the restaurant.  It was a really nice place to go for an evening meal out with the family and there were some good offers available.  We left with a nice feeling having been served by some very cheerful staff.  We would definitely go again, without hesitation.
