I was so lucky to be chosen to review Cirque Enchantment at the Grove Theatre in Dunstable. I was really happy to take my granddaughter.
We arrived at the theatre, parked the car in the free car park and took the short walk over to the theatre. We got our tickets and were shown to brilliant seats.
The show started at 7.30pm and we were absolutely delighted with the story which is about a young girl who lets her imagination take her story book to life in the winter circus. There was so much going on all the time, you were spoilt for choice at what to look at. There are 9 artists which consists of 6 ladies and 3 men and no one member was any better than the others. They all had their own parts to play. 2 ladies sang all the way through. There must’ve been 20 or more songs sung through the performance and both their voices were amazing. They sang both older and up to date pop and rock songs. They had the audience clapping along. The music was amazing.
The artists were on the trapeze, ropes, juggling, fire-eating, they were using all different props which included a broom, umbrellas and so much more. The dancing and movements were mesmerising. They are all so talented.
The costumes and make up were beautiful and all the changes of costumes just flowed with the performance. There was a light show with artists performing with hoops which was breath-taking. At times all 9 artists were on the stage and doing separate performances it was brilliant.
This is a great show for everyone to enjoy, whether young or old. There was not one minute in the whole show where they have not got your attention. I would recommend that if it is in your area it’s a must to go and see.
