Playmobil Summer Fun Summer Camper Review

Everyone in our home has loved Playmobil Products for many years now.  I was therefore over the moon to be offered the Playmobil Family Fun Camper to review.  Having grown up as a child camping and caravanning, having a family campervan is very much on my bucket list.  Sadly my budget does not allow for a non-toy campervan at the moment.  One day I hope.   The product arrived quickly in perfect condition due to being so well packaged.   My twin sons aged 7 and I could not wait to get stuck in putting it together ready for playing with it.   The set itself has 135 pieces and suitable for age 4+.   I would consider this the right age range as the small pieces are a choking hazard for younger children.  The box itself is really appealing as well as providing a lot of useful information. Looking at the box makes is clear how well thought out this playset is.  It even comes with a lead and the box that gives you an electricity supply when camping or caravanning.   The detail on the camper van itself is simply stunning.   The box contains:

• 3 characters
• A teddy bear
• A table and chairs
• Tins of food
• Bikes
• Cooking utensils and pans
• Cutlery
• A BBQ
• A satellite dish
• food (play food) and so much more

The campervan even has headlights and wing mirrors.   The top slides off making the toy accessible during play.   The door opens and shuts.  The kitchen and bathroom area are fantastic and look so true to life.  You can even store your kitchenware in the various drawers provided.   The kitchen and bathroom even have taps and the toilet has a lid.   It did not take us long at all to follow the simple and well written instructions.  We soon had our campervan fully assembled and ready for play.    During this time of lockdown, what I love most about it is how much it brings out my sons’ imagination.  Whilst we have been unable to leave our home and visit new and exciting places, we have done so in our imagination from the comfort of our own home.   My little boys love the fact that the characters are made so that they can hold things like food, drink or cooking utensils.   The child character has enjoyed many a bike ride. 

I think that I love this set just as much as my sons. It can be played with in a standalone way or alongside another toy, perhaps another playmobil playset.  We have the Pets hotel which is another firm favourite in our home.  You can read my review of the Pets Hotel here.   The set is also good for educational purposes.  We have counted up the cutlery and cans of food.   You can also set a manual timer or one on app and count down how much of your imaginary journey is left. 

This toy has been a huge hit in our home and I am not surprised given that it is high quality and has hours and hours of play value.   I would recommend this playset as well as Playmobil generally to others.
