Delph After Sun Lotion Review

Summer has definitely arrived! The weather over the last few weeks has been incredibly hot – over 25 degrees with not a cloud in the sky. The perfect weather for spending too long outside in the garden which means it has also been the perfect time to try Delph After Sun Lotion!

Everybody knows how important it is to wear sunscreen to help absorb or reflect some of the sun’s ultraviolet rays as this helps protect us against sunburn and hopefully prevent skin cancer. However even though I always lather myself in sunscreen, it is amazing how easy it is to miss a spot or not put quite enough on and then end up with a red patch of skin. There is nothing worse than coming inside on a hot day and suddenly feeling a patch of skin begin to burn. Luckily this is where Delph After Sun Lotion comes in! And even if you have been great at putting the right amount of sunscreen on, it is still useful to use aftersun lotion as it is brilliant for hydrating and moisturizing the skin.

My package arrived quickly and in a cardboard box. Inside was the Delph After Sun Lotion which comes in a blue 150ml tube so it is nice and easy to carry around with you. On the tube as well as saying it is an After Sun Lotion it says that it is dermatologically tested, solar survivability and contains aloe vera and Vitamin E. It’s great that it has aloe vera in it as this plant is renowned for its soothing properties. When I opened up the tube there was a slight perfumey smell but it didn’t last and it was by no means overwhelming. I actually really like the smell of this lotion as it smells fresh. The lotion itself is a smooth white cream and when I applied the cream to my skin you are aware that it contains anti- inflammatory properties as you immediately feel a cooling sensation. After being out in the sun for a while it is a really lovely feeling. It says to ‘Apply generously to skin that has been exposed to the sun. Avoid contact with eyes and clothing’ and I definitely did that. I applied this over all the areas that had been in the sun and it definitely made me feel better. Straight after applying it does feel slightly sticky but that doesn’t last long. I continued applying this over the next few hours whenever my skin started to feel hot and it immediately helped cool it. My skin also continued to feel lovely and soft without feeling greasy.

I will definitely continue to use the Delph After Sun Lotion as not only is it incredibly good value at only £1.49 for 150ml but unlike some Aftersun Lotions it soothes your skin as soon as you put it on and then maintains that cooling effect for a while after. It is also suitable for all skin types so you would be able to use it on all the family.

The Delph After Sun Lotion is made by Fenton Pharmaceuticals and they also do a variety of other products including SPF15, SPF30 and SPF50 sun lotion as well as an after sun gel.

This is a must have for the summer months (or anytime you will be outside in the sun for long periods of time)!
