On Saturday night we delighted to be going to the Victoria Theatre in Halifax to see the number one ABBA tribute act Arrival UK.
On arriving at the theatre parking was easy: there is a large selection of car parks very close to the theatre with on street pay and display parking virtually outside. Inside the theatre itself, it is very nicely lay out. The seats are comfortable and the staff were helpful showing people to their seats.
The show itself was brilliant. Arrival UK are really good singers and they wore all the ABBA style clothes. At first it was a bit slow to get started but only for the first song. They involved the audience. Using the first half they come around the audience for one song and passed the mics around so everyone had a chance if they wanted to have a good sing!! In the background they had a projector showing ABBA through the years which was a really good idea. After the interval most people in the audience got up singing and dancing in front of the seats!
There wasn’t really anything in the show that I didn’t like! Everything about it was brilliant. I would definitely recommend going to see this show. And I would go and see it again.
Arrival UK capture ABBA perfectly with their authentic replica costumes, dance routines and music, a great live band and musicians.
The Victoria Theatre looks nice and traditional, and warm and welcoming. The staff at the theatre were very helpful and friendly.
Arrival UK will be in Shoreham on 25 October followed by Stroud on the 13 November, for more information visit www.abba-arrival.co.uk.
