I am not the easiest person to buy presents for – I am told that every single birthday and Christmas, and quite often, my nearest and dearest send gift vouchers rather than risk getting it all wrong for special occasions. Now, one thing that I have been looking for a long time for is a new watch, and when my son told me that as my local branch of M&S had now closed down and I wouldn’t be able to spend my annual birthday voucher, he was putting his foot down and actually treating me to something ‘proper’ – a watch.
Having said that, he wasn’t awfully confident at choosing one that I would like, so we thought the best way of doing it would be to have a look at the Watches2U website to see what options were available. I do like my accessories to match, and I have a few pieces of rose gold jewellery, so I knew pretty much straight away that I wanted a rose gold bracelet watch. The only other requirement that I had was a nice, clear face that wasn’t too small, as I like to be able to see at a glance what the time is. My son wanted to get me a watch that he would have confidence would last, so when we saw a rose gold Pulsar watch on the website, it looked like we were onto a winner.
The PH8362X1 Ladies Dress Watch is a beautiful, rose gold bracelet watch with a lovely, clear silver face. The face is super minimalist, with rose hands (hour, minute and second), and rose gold dashes to mark the quarter hours. The other dashes are etched into the face in black. I fell in love with, and knew it was the one, and it is currently on sale which was a massive bonus!
The watch arrived a couple of days later and it was presented in a lovely white faux leather padded box. The watch itself was wrapped around a cushion with all of the instruction and warranty details neatly hidden underneath. The fantastic presentation made this a really special present and I felt really treated. The quality of the watch was obvious from the second I took it out of the box; all of the metal work and the face were protected by a clear film so it arrived in perfect condition. It has a really good weight too – heavy enough to feel like a substantial piece of jewellery but certainly not cumbersome to wear. I also really liked how the size of the watch face was slightly larger than a standard, small ladies watch. I have never been keen on tiny dials as I find them hard to read, and I think bigger ones look a bit more modern too.
I am over the moon with my new watch – it really is gorgeous and I feel so special when I am wearing it. Because of the obvious quality of the item and the lovely presentation, I think it makes a truly special present, and at a really good price too. I wouldn’t hesitate to rate both the watch and the company at 5/5 – it’s a great product at a fantastic price and delivered really quickly too.
