My 8 year old daughter keeps seeing this make your own bracelets kit on TV so we were delighted when we received it for review.

When the postman delivered this she was over the moon and couldn’t wait to get started (and that was just seeing the box).

In the box there are 2 bracelets in soft black pouches, 10 charms, 8 dice charms, 80 eyelets, 10 charm split-rings, 7 different coloured clays, wooden toothpicks, a wooden dowel, 3 bags of glitter, 2 different coloured craft foil, a handy little plastic storage box and a 20 page instruction manual.

After looking through the manual together (although if my daughter had her way she would have ignored this and just stared) she was ready to begin.

After making some different coloured beads we put them in the oven to harden. Once ready she began to assemble her bracelet. You will need some clear nail varnish to give the beads a glossy finish (this is not supplied). Once ready you can add them to the bracelet and add any of the charms that you require. She was very excited to have made her own bracelet.

This is a great set and keep my daughter very busy. She was very happy that she had created her own bracelet and now never takes it off. She is now busy designing one from her best friend at school and to my surprise actually using the manual to see how to combine colours with clay and using the foil and glitter to make better beads. It can be very messy with all the glitter so maybe put all the items on a tray or paper for easy clean up after use..

The only downside is it costs £19.99 which I felt was a bit expensive to make 2 bracelets but my daughter enjoyed it immensely and has kept her entertained so it is worth it.
