Super Wings High Flying Jett Review

Reviewed by Julie Jessup

My nieces and nephews love anything that is active, but also fun. So I was very happy for them when I received the Super Wings High Flying Jett to review. It arrived in a good-sized box and was bigger than I expected. It is also bright red so easy to see in the air.

We had one rule – no flying in the house! As we live close to open ground, off we went to try it out. I took Sophie who is 8 years old and Corey who is 3 years old.

I am amazed how high this toy could actually fly, up to 20 feet, so do not use it close to other buildings as you could lose it.

Most children will identify with Super Wings as it is a TV programme and the character Jett is confident, positive, full of curiosity and loves to try new things, he is also the fastest aircraft in the world! The Super Jets team travel the world delivering packages and helping to solve problems. The toys are transformer robots and there is such a lot of choice in the Super Wings collection. The Super Jets are known worldwide and premiered in South Korea during September of 2014 and eventually became popular in the United Kingdom and Ireland in February 2017. They have been favoured by children ever since.

The suggested age for the flying toy is 4 years old with guidance and even though Corey is younger, he is a bit of a thrill seeker and I was with him to assist. Not that he needed any!

It was so easy to use, all you do is load the 5-inch character onto the launcher and pull the string, really simple. The grip loader is easy for children’s hands to hold. Then you watch your character fly high and run to get it as it lands. Both the children had such a lot of laughs they were running around trying to catch it before it landed down to Earth. So not only fun but they were also exercising, so much better than playing indoors. Obviously, this an outdoor toy so you cannot play with it if the weather is poor.

It really is very durable, it does need to be as it will have a lot of bumps and crashes, this adds to the fun!

I enjoyed watching the toy as much as the children and encouraged them to chase after it. It still spins when it hits the ground

You can buy various 5-inch characters to use with the launcher, they are named, Police Paul, Kim, Build-It Donnie, Build-It Scoop, Rescue Dizzy, Space Astro and Classic Astro, they all look very colourful and well made.

A great plus is you do not need batteries for this toy.

The Super Wings High Flying Jett must not be used near face and eyes as it is quite powerful.

It is excellent value and at present you can purchase it from Smyths Toys for a reduced price of £6.99 instead of £9.00. Postage is not included on purchases under £20.

It would make an excellent gift. This definitely deserves a 5/5 star rating.
