Having a 7 year old rather fussy eater, I was delighted to get the chance of reviewing this book. It is a hard backed edition with a beautiful cover design. The book is priced with an RRP of £14.99 and has over 200 pages making it really good value.
As a family we do try and eat as healthily as we can and so this book was a welcome addition to our household. Having 3 month old twin boys our days are very hectic. I was pleasantly surprised to see that many of the recipes in the book have a quick preparation time. My little girl loves pizza and so the first recipe we tried out was Focaccia pizza. With a preparation time of 10 minutes and cooking time of 5 minutes this recipe is ideal for busy mums or dads. You can hide extra toppings underneath a layer of cheese with is ideal. It certainly made my daughter more willing to try it. The book gives a list of suggested toppings and an excellent recipe for secret tomato sauce. This sauce has 5 vegetables hidden in it. The book makes all the steps easy to follow and making this pizza was a fun thing my daughter and I could do together. It tastes so yummy and is definitely on our list of things to make again.
As well as containing some fabulous recipe ideas, the book has handy hints on dealing with fussy eating, like inviting non fussy eater friends around for a tea party and not reacting when your child is fussy with food or how to get your child to eat fruit. Next on our to try list is the chocolate pudding recipe, but there is a long list.
