Boutique Gifts Leather Make Up Bag Review

A gorgeous make up bag.  It arrived very swiftly in sturdy packaging wrapped in delicate white tissue paper bearing the words ‘LoveGifts’.  This started off the pleasant anticipatory feeling that this had been given with love and thoughtfulness.  Upon unwrapping the tissue paper the bag inside looked lovely.  Personalised with three letters on the front and looking top quality.  Upon handling I found that the leather is soft and a pleasure to touch plus it has that pleasing leather aroma.  I would say it is small to medium sized – approximately 21 by 11.5cm.  The wrap around zip opens into a reasonable sized pouch.  Inside is an inner pocket with a pretty polka dot pink on brown lining.
The colour is a mid pink – almost dusky.

The high-quality leather and beautiful lettering elevate this bag way above your normal make up bag.  The personalisation also lifts it up a notch and makes it feel special.  I think this will be a lovely little make up bag for weekends away and holidays et cetera. A pleasure to use.  It will certainly fit basic make up in it. I have just tried to fit my essential make up in it and it does just about fit. Depending on how much make up you use it might not fit everything in. But for me it’s big enough.  I use full size make up brushes and I was worried that they might have been a little bit too long for this bag. There was no problem however because they fit in fine if you put them in diagonally.

I also think that this little bag could be used for other purposes as well. For example if you just wanted to take out a phone a pair of glasses and tissues – it could almost be used like a clutch bag. The reason I think of this is that I often find myself at hotels going down for dinner and only wanting to take a bag that will hold the above plus a key card – something that I can just pop on the table that doesn’t take up too much space. And this would be such a lovely item to use for that (I’m going to whether it’s the done thing or not!)  The personalisation is optional and can be in silver or gold and up to three capital letters. The bag comes in various different colours.

Mine was not gift boxed as shown on the website so I am unable to comment on the quality of the box.  (editor’s note – the reviewer was sent a review sample)  Checking out the Boutique Gifts website I did find it an absolute treasure trove of personalised gift ideas – so I shall certainly be making purchases for upcoming weddings and anniversaries.  There are lots of different shapes and sizes of bags available along with many other items – and all personalised if desired.  I think that this would be a wonderful gift for her for any occasion:
Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Birthdays, Christmas, any time.  A luxury personal gift, charmingly packaged.
