I was thrilled to be asked to review Seascape Island Apothecary Uplift Duo Gift Set as I love bath products and this was something due to the price I would not normally buy for myself.
The gift set arrived quickly and well packed, I thought the packaging on the outside of the main box was beautiful and give the impress of a relaxing bath, I was however a little disappointed when I took the bath and body lotion out as the boxes they came in were little bland, white with a seahorse on. I looked up the product and felt the boxes they came in if you brought them separately were much more appealing but I could see others liking the simple while packaging.
The bottles looked nice and large which I liked as it give the impression they would last a long time which is what I would expect for price of the gift set and bottles. Opening the bottle of bath gel I thought it was a lovely smell, clean and very relaxing I do not normally like lavender but it was very light and not overwhelming, I loved the lime scent as it is one of my favourite fragrances my husband even commented how nice it smelt.
I had a lovely calming bubble bath; I felt it gave the right amount of bubbles so that it was not overflowing the bath but so that I felt like I was in a nice warm, soft bubble cloud!
Adding the body lotion gives it that extra softness and smell, I liked the pump as I could have just the right amount I needed and it made little mess. I did notice the smell from the body lotion did not really last very long on me but I did not apply it all over my body as I have sensitive skin and my skin was very sore in some places, I also struggle to find products that will leave a lasting smell on my skin.
All in all I felt the Seascape Island Apothecary Uplift Duo Gift Set was very indulgent, not something I would normally buy for myself but made me feel very pampered! I thought the bottles looked by pretty in my bathroom and people commented on how posh they looked.
I would love more of these products in my Christmas stocking, I have already asked for the rewind and soothe bath washes from Santa!
I would rate this 4/5 for the packaging of the bottles and because I did not get a lasting smell from the products.
