We are always in search for the perfect pillow, Mr B is always complaining that the pillows are either not firm enough or too hard, and finding the perfect pillow has been a near impossible task which until road testing the Slumberdown Luxury Cool Touch Quilted Medium Support Side Sleeper pillow and I think this may be the perfect pillow for our needs and although Mr B has claimed this one, so I have already ordered another for myself!

The pillow is marketed as a luxury pillow and the quilted cover makes this feel like a quality product. It is a medium firm pillow and it is suggested it is suitable for side sleepers. Knowing how picky my husband is I didn’t hold out much hope, however I was pleasantly surprised. The pillow is a cool touch pillow, so great in the warmer months, but also, if you are someone who likes to turn the pillow to the cool side at any time of the year, this is the perfect pillow for you and you can definitely feel the cool touch difference, Slumberdown call this their Hydrocool technology.

The pillow design is simple and functional, however it feels like a much higher quality when compared to pillows of other brands, even some which are much more expensive, in part due to the quilted cover.  As it is designed for side sleepers the pillow is quite firm, which supports a comfortable sleeping position and in actual fact, I alternate between side and stomach sleeping and found the pillow comfortable for both. The pillow is available in different designs however to support different sleeping positions, maximising your comfort and ensuring a sound night’s sleep. Where the pillow is exceptional is that unlike other firm pillow designs, such as those made from memory foam, the Slumberdown Luxury Cool Touch Side sleeper pillow has a fibre filling which means it retains a little softness, but without engulfing your entire head for increased comfort. Even after a week of consistent use, the pillow is still holing up well and hasn’t succumbed to becoming flattened like other pillows we have bought. Previously, I have found that if I wanted a firm pillow, I had to compromise on some of the comfort, however this pillow provides the perfect balance of both.

The pillow is machine washable which means it will have longevity and for the price of this is represents excellent value for money, although what you would expect from Slumberdown.
