A Good Nights Sleep Bundle Review

Hygge is the Swedish principle of cosiness and with the cooler, autumn weather approaching, we could all do with a little more Hygge.  Sleep is important to the wellbeing of us all and ensuring we have the best environment in which to sleep is key for a good quality, restorative sleep, so if you are thinking about revamping your bedroom to add a little Hygge for the autumn or just to enhance your sleep, this is bundle and the review for you!

We have tested a sleep bundle from Sleepseekers website and it was a real luxury to update our bedding, but I’m pleased to say that the price was much less than I would expect given the quality of the products.  It has been difficult to choose a favourite product as they are all unique and offer something different to enhance your sleep experience. If like us, you struggle to find the perfect pillow the Slumberdown Luxury Cool Touch Quilted Side Sleeper Pillow may be perfect for you. Designed for side sleepers, the pillow is a medium firm, which is just the right balance of firmness without compromising on comfort and due to the hollow fibre filling, which is another plus point if you are an allergy sufferer. The pillow also uses innovative Hydrocool technology to make it ‘cool’ touch and if you are someone who always likes the cool side of the pillow, this is a great touch that you definitely notice. I was also impressed with the quilted outer cover of the pillow, this gave the impression of a much more expensive product than the price point would suggest.

I was really surprised to find that there are pillows for different sleeping positions (although other options are available, such as a pillow designed for back sleepers) to enhance comfort, both myself and my husband found the side sleeper pillow perfect for our preferences, even though I am sometimes a stomach sleeper.

Another key feature, which I always look out for when buying new pillows is the ability to machine wash and the Slumberdown Luxury Cool Touch side sleeper pillow can be machine washed at 40 degrees, which will no doubt enhance the life span of the pillow and ensure they stay in tip top condition. After a week of continual use, I’m really impressed with how the robust the pillow is. I have experienced pillows in the past that quickly lose their filling and become flat very quickly, I’m pleased to report this is not the case with the Slumberdown Luxury Cool Touch Pillow.

We also tested the Slumberdown Anti-allergy Mattress Protector. I have used many mattress protectors in the past as I feel they prolong the life of your mattress, so are an investment. The Slumberdown Anti-Allergy Mattress Protector is quilted so adds a layer of comfort to your mattress whilst also protecting the mattress whilst also prolonging its life span of your mattress. Again, the mattress protector is anti allergy, this is a key feature, so the fibres are not likely to trigger a reaction for anyone who is sensitive to fibres and the protector is also shown to have reduce dust mites and bacteria which can also be potential allergens this is a major plus point for us. I liked that again it could be washed in a washing machine at 40 degrees and also tumble dried, another important point for allergy suffers. The mattress protector is even endorsed by Allergy UK, which is another great assurance of the quality of this product.

On road testing the mattress protector, I’ve also been really impressed with the fit, too often they ‘ping’ off taking the sheet with them, leading to an uncomfortable night’s sleep or a fight with the sheet in the dark. After a week of usage, and even on our relatively deep mattress, I have not seen this happen once, which is very impressive, the product guidance suggests that the mattress protector will fit mattresses up to 30cms in depth. In addition to the quality of the fit, I was also impressed with the quality feel of the mattress protector itself. It had a quilted top layer, which did add a little noticeable extra comfort to our mattress and the microfibre material was soft to the touch, again giving a luxury feel. We felt this was a great product for the price and would definitely invest in this again.

Finally, we also tested the Slumberdown Made for You Two duvet. Who would have thought the perfect duvet existed? There must be many of us who have a different duvet preference from our significant others? In our house, this is often the source of much discussion and debate, with Mr B wanting a lighter weight duvet as he gets too hot and me wanting a warmer duvet to feel snug and cosy as soon as the autumn hits, neither of us really wanting to compromise our own comfort for the other, and in the past, we have had to supplement our summer duvet with a blanket to ensure we are both comfortable. Well, now we don’t have to! Having a dual weighted duvet is the perfect compromise for couples such as ourselves. I was worried that the duvet would look odd in the duvet cover, perhaps looking unbalanced in some way, however this was not the case, and it was un-noticeable to the eye.The duvet has a 4.5 tog side and also a 10.5 tog side and it is easy to feel which side is which. This is a genius idea that will no doubt bring harmony to may couples in the same situation as us!

The Made for You Two duvet also has a soft, fabric cover which again gives a quality feel despite the reasonable cost, unlike some of the cheaper paper feel duvets as a similar price point. This also means that the duvet can again be machine washed and tumble dried as with the other items, although the cost of living is causing us all to reconsider the use of the tumble drier, it’s good to have the choice, especially in the colder winter months, where it can take days to dry heavy items. Again, the duvet uses hollow fibres and so is anti-allergenic.

I have been impressed with each product individually, in terms of the functionality and quality, but especially the price point of the items. We all want to feel that we are getting value for money and with all of the items we road-tested, I can honestly say that I felt the items were very reasonable, especially as we had the king sized in all the products. It also meant that replacing the items in one hit, which we would usually not be able to do as bundle is realistic. From my experience so far, I have no doubt that all the items have longevity due to the quality materials and the ability to machine wash and tumble dry where needed, a must for busy families.
